THEATRE PRACTITIONERS - BAND 5
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 Theatre Practitioners to work within a friendly Ophthalmic Unit here at Bristol Eye Hospital, close to the city centre and amenities.
We welcome applications from registered practitioners (RGN or ODP) to join the team.
We are a welcoming department which houses four theatres and a recovery unit.
We carry out a complete range of ophthalmic procedures which include cataract, vitreal retinal, glaucoma, orbital plastics and trauma surgery and many more.
The age range of patients covers premature infants to Centenarians.
We would prefer applicants to have recent theatre or ophthalmic experience; however, training opportunities are available for practitioners new to the operating department.
Our commitment to professional development and the ongoing training of our staff is highlighted by the fact that we have an expanding dedicated theatre education team, ready to support your development.
You must be flexible in your approach to work and be willing to undertake the various theatre roles that are required of you. The variable work pattern covers early, late, weekend and “on call” shifts. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to work well within the multi-professional team. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and motivation.
